I 2001 blev det besluttet at afhænde klubbens gamle skib ”Gerda Marie”, til fordel for et mere
tidssvarende stålskib.
Valget faldt på den forhenværende bom-trawler: “Bolette Munkholm” af Hvide Sande.
”Bolette” blev oprindeligt bygget som trawler til fiskeri på Shetlandsøerne, under navnet Krisona,
og derfor dimensioneret til et af verdens hårdeste farvande.
”Bolettes” søsterskib ”Aquarious” er, så vidt vides, stadig aktivt som fiskefartøj.
Siden blev skibet solgt til Hvide Sande, hvor hun gennemgik en større ombygning til Bom-trawler,
der b.la. indebar montage af en 7 m. høj bom, med tilsvarende udliggere, samt skrue-dyse for øget
trækkraft.
P.g.a. ovenstående skulle skibets krængningsstabilitet ændres, hvorfor hun nu er udstyret med en
kraftig 60 x 60 cm køl i hele skibets længde.
Under fiskeri ud for Hvide Sande, gik skibet på grund, og ved lavvande vælter hun, og tager vand
ind, efterfølgende bjærget og solgt for de medfølgende fiskekvoter. Se artikel fra forliset her.
Umiddelbart efter køber klubben ”Bolette”, som på daværende tidspunkt mere er at betegne som et
skrog med fungerende motor, der umiddelbart efter forliset blev totalrenoveret.
Uden mulighed for at sejle for egen kraft, blev hun slæbt til Nørresundby, hvor hun ankom julen
2002.
Herefter gik en kæmpe renovering og ombygning i gang, hvorunder alt, undtagen motoren, blev
fjernet, renoveret eller udskiftet, b.la. blev apteringen forlænget med 1,5 m hvilket gav plads til
nedgang til last, kompressorrum og soldæk.
Efterhånden er hun blevet opdateret med diverse elektronik, kompressorer, nitroxanlæg, kran m.m.,
således at hun i dag fremstår som et moderne dykkerskib med alle faceliteter.
Som udgangspunkt var det klubbens ønske at skibet skulle indrettes som en moderne ”platform”
til dykning i skandinaviske farvande, b.la., så vidt muligt, udstyres med dobbeltsystem på
støttefunktionerne såsom kompressorer, generatorer, kommunikation m.v..
Endvidere skulle skibet udstyres med fokus på sikkerhed, hvorfor hun er udstyret med 2 x Oxy-
bokse, hurtig-gående MOB-båd, og 2 håndholdte VHF til dykkerleder og MOB, samt 8 W
mobiltelefon og langtrækkende SSB radio.
Pga. faldende aktivitetsniveau mht. til dykning fra Bolette besluttede Nørresundby Sportsdykkerklub i 2017 at sælge skibet. Skibet blev solgt til Copenhagen Suborbitals, som anvender det i forbindelse med deres aktiviteter, men skibet er anno 2020 forstat indrettet på en sådan måde, at det kan anvendes til dykning.
